Henning Chair - Provence

The turned front legs and wrap of the ivory seat cushion and back exhibits fine details. The comfort of the gold stripe seat cushion offsets the intricate design of the back rails.

The cuts and turns of the back rails are all Henning. It is as if the Dane had traced the route of the final stage of the Tour de la Provence onto his drawing board. Even today when racers maneuver through the labyrinth of cobblestone streets and stone houses of village after village, faith and imagination are required.

Expect subtle nuances in the newly reupholstered fabric, wood grain, coloration, texture or patina, all of which enhance its unique allure. Repairs and non-structural distressing may be present from age and use, adding character to the object.
